The Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School District hereby agrees to employ «First_Name» «Last_Name» and «First_Name» «Last_Name» hereby agrees to serve, under the direction of the Superintendent-Director, as «JobTitle» in the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, beginning «effective» and ending «ending».

 

In accordance with the provisions of the prevailing salary schedule the Superintendent-Director has elected to pay said «JobTitle», and said «JobTitle» hereby agrees to accept, for the services during the above stated period, an annual salary of «money» subject to deductions required by law or which the «JobTitle» may in writing authorize.  Pay will be terminated at the time services are terminated.

 

Professional staff members are expected to be certified / licensed in the area in which they teach or serve as an administrator.  They are further expected to know what is required for certification/licensure and to maintain their own records regarding professional development programs they have taken.

 

The No Child Left Behind Act sets minimum qualification standards for teachers and teaching assistants.  Meeting the requirements of this federal law is a condition of employment.  Employees who fail to meet these requirements will no longer be eligible for employment with the District.

 

This contract may be terminated by mutual consent at any time.  It may be terminated by the Superintendent-Director for cause as provided by statute.  The «JobTitle» may resign for good reason by submitting at least thirty (30) days written notice at any time except during the month of August, during which month, unless the contract has been terminated by mutual consent or Superintendent-Director action, the «JobTitle» will accept employment with no other School District in Massachusetts.

 

This contract is subject to Statutes and Regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the rules and regulations of the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School District.

WHEN A TEACHER QUALIFIES FOR AN ADJUSTMENT, HIS/HER NEXT ANNUAL SALARY ADJUSTMENT WILL BE INCREASE IN

ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE ADDENDUM PROVIDED THAT THE TEACHER HAS PRESENTED EVIDENCE OF THOSE

CREDITS TO THE PRINCIPALS AND THE BUSINESS OFFICE NO LATER THAN AUGUST 18.
